Experience

Kelly Keefer has over 20 years of experience in strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, reporting, and modeling, including business valuations. In 2022, she launched her Remote Fractional CFO business after spending two years volunteering at Cortez Dog Rescue in Baja, Mexico.

Her career includes 20 years in the ski resort and hospitality industry, holding leadership roles such as VP of Finance at Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp and SVP of Finance and VP of Operations at Copper Mountain Resort.  Her broad industry expertise includes ski areas, lodging and hospitality, food and beverage, retail, rentals, and snowsports services, 

Kelly began her career at Price Waterhouse Coopers in Boston then Denver after graduating magna cum laude from Boston College. Her interest in business started early, working in her father’s Army and Navy store at age 13. She is a CPA (currently inactive) with 20 years of practice.

In her free time, Kelly enjoys yoga, skiing, and traveling to explore the culture and traditions of Baja, MX  with her husband Ryan and their rescue dogs, Tiger and Lupita.
